I am a graduate of SMU's accelerated BSN program. My journey into nursing began in earnest at the start of the pandemic, fueled by a strong desire to enhance the level of care and support I could offer. My diverse background, having lived in various countries across South and East Africa before moving to the U.S. in high school, has given me a unique perspective on healthcare and community. With nearly a decade of experience in social services and a deep commitment to altruism, I transitioned to nursing to continue learning, expanding my skills, and immersing myself in the collaborative environment of the medical field. I am passionate about bringing my expertise and compassion to every patient interaction, always striving to improve and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare community.

On a personal note, my wife, our spirited 3-year-old and I currently reside in Oakland. My friends and family know me as someone who loves games of every kind—whether board games, sports, video games, or party games—and I've found ways to incorporate these interests into both my professional and personal growth. For example, I've used improvisation techniques in counseling and coaching, blending playfulness with practical skills. In addition to my love for games, I have a wide range of hobbies fueled by an interest to learn from those around me, including piano, woodworking, welding, and playing pickleball. These activities not only bring me joy but also reflect my ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement.
